MILAN, Italy — 22 January 2026 — The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have set up their iconic Yellow Tent to Milan, creating a street-level point for practical help and listening support, alongside simple “Tools for Life” techniques that can be applied to daily problems. Previously deployed in cities including New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn simple steps for communication breakdowns, workplace stress and conflict resolution, as well as practical help during difficult moments.
Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory courses covering communication, relationships, study skills, workplace challenges and conflict resolution. The approach is focused on the individual: identify the issue and offer a step that can news european parliament be used immediately.
In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake and the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquakes, and have also assisted during recent floods in Marche (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help remove mud and debris and restore access.
In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with community care work, including over 160 consecutive Saturdays of community clean-up and support, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.
Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European Union, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said: “Across Europe, communities grow stronger when citizens are equipped to help each other in practical ways—calmly, respectfully and without prejudice. Their work reflects a civic principle: support starts with listening and providing tools that help people regain the ability to act and contribute.”
